LAYLA MILLER GAUSE, LEAD CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER AND NUTRITION COACH

Layla is a Holmes County native and graduated from Hiland High School in 2008. She went on to earn a Associate of Science degree in nursing from Aultman College in 2010. Layla is married to Joel, and they have two young daughters: Avery and Emmie.

Layla's journey in healthcare began as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department of Joel Pomerene Hospital up until 2021, when she transitioned to helping her husband at Premier Pharmacy. Through these experiences she discovered a serious need in the community for both fitness and nutrition resources. This motivated her to earn her certification as a personal trainer through ISSA (International Sports Science Association) and a nutrition certification with Precision Nutrition.

In Layla’s own words, she describes how her unique history has lead her into the realm of wellness:

“Working in healthcare has been frustrating at times because, too often, it feels like we are slapping a bandaid on problems. My passion is to equip clients, especially women, with tools to implement life-changing habits one small step at a time. I’ve found that making your physical health a priority naturally leads to improved nutrition, mental health, spiritual health, work productivity and so much more. It’s my hope to share my knowledge with others and help to reveal what they are capable of.”
