Frequently Asked Questions
What Makes Peak Physical Therapy & Wellness Different?
Our staff, our history, and the attention we give to each patient sets us apart from other clinics in the country. If you have been through physical therapy in the past, prepare for a change.
We take pride in the fact that a larger number of doctors, from every discipline, trust us with their patients. We work with some of the best physicians in the state of Colorado and have earned their trust and respect over the years. These physicians have taken the time to understand our program and are active in their patient's care. They know that our staff truly cares about all of our patients' conditions and that we will do our very best to help each patient we see.
We spend one-on-one time with each patient, which is almost unheard of in most physical therapy practices today. Above all, we take the time to educate our patients about their condition and what we are doing to help them with their condition. We listen to our patients and we take detailed notes and subsequently adjust our protocols around what we see and hear.
What types of Conditions Does Peak Treat?
At Peak we treat all conditions from knees, ankles and shoulders to neck, low back and headache pain. These injuries may have been caused from a car accident, a work injury, a slip and fall, a sports injury or you may have no specific reason for your onset of pain.
Many patients that we see for low back pain cannot pinpoint one event that caused this pain and it has become a chronic pain that affects their activities in daily living. We are able to treat most of these conditions with one, or a number of the many programs we have in our office.
What types of Doctors Refer to our Program?
We see patients from all disciplines. You may be referred to our program from your family practice doctor, nurse practitioner, internist, chiropractor, orthopedist or even a neurosurgeon. We have built exceptional relationships over the years with many fine physicians.
What can I do if I do not have a doctor?
If you do not have a doctor, but think our program may be beneficial, please feel free to call us. We would be happy to answer any questions you have and even meet with you if necessary to find what direction might be best for you in finding a physician that would be best for you and your concerns.
We work with a number of exceptional doctors that understand our programs. These doctors will take their time to understand you and your condition and proceed with your care in an appropriate and timely manner.
Peak Physical Therapy & Wellness is not owned by any physician or group of physicians. We are locally-owned and -operated and have no outside interests that will compromise your care in our making recommendations to outside physicians.
Our concern is finding the most appropriate physician for you — a physician who will help you with any pain you have and bring that pain to resolution. We are in no way compensated for referring you to any specific physician. Our referral is purely in the best interest of our patients.
What kinds of insurance do you accept?
We accept all major health insurance plans like Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Great West, Aetna, United Health Care, and Pacificare.
We also accept a very large number of other small carriers too great to try to list on our site. It is best to call our office to find out if we are in your specific health plan if it is not one of the larger well known groups. We will be happy to call your carrier and check your treatment benefits.
In addition to health insurance plans, we also accept all automobile related cases and worker's compensation injuries.
